TECHNICAL FIELD AND SUBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to the field of watchmaking and aims, more specifically, a system for a timepiece with a pivoting index, making it possible to automatically or manually modify the appearance of the indexes appearing on a watch dial or of clock.
[0002] The system for a timepiece according to the invention is intended to be adapted to a watch or a clock.
STATE OF THE ART
Schematically, known watches and clocks include a movement and a dial protected by a crystal. The dial usually has indexes displaying information such as the hours, to which the hands of the watch point, in particular the numbers 3, 6, 9, 12, and possibly other information such as the date, time in other time zones than that of the main dial, the time of sunrise, etc.
According to the state of the art of conventional watchmaking, a watch or a clock is thus composed of a plate serving as a dial, protected by a crystal, said dial being marked with the hours, optionally in a decorative manner, forming the main indexes displayed on said dial The assembly constitutes the dial marked with the main indexes is fixed and mounted on a clockwork movement, typically with hands, the hands driven by the clockwork movement making it possible to determine 1 hour by correlation of their relative position vis-à-vis the main indexes of the dial.
[0005] The general problem in which the developments which have led to the present invention are situated relates to the fact that, today in general, when a user wishes to wear a watch having a different aesthetic appearance from one day to another , he has no choice but to own several watches. In fact, most often, the aesthetics of the watch dial cannot be changed.
[0006] According to the well-known state of the art, there is the possibility of changing the strap only, but not the aesthetic appearance of the dial of the watch or of the clock.
[0007] In this context, developments have been made to allow the appearance of the watch dial to be changed. According to the state of the art, several technologies have been developed.
[0008] A first technique consists in implementing a digital or liquid crystal dial. For example, document WO2008045379 describes a display assembly for an electronic device such as a watch. The display assembly is disposed within a housing and is constructed to receive at least a first and a second dial assembly, each adapted to provide a different display configuration.
[0009] Another recently developed known technique provides a watch with a removable dial. Thus, document WO2013177597 describes a timepiece apparatus, for example a watch or a clock, provided with a removable and interchangeable dial which can be removed from the timepiece apparatus and replaced by another dial without disconnecting the components from the watch. the clock apparatus.
[0010] The document CH702422 describes another technique using a sub-dial. Document CH702422 thus describes a timepiece comprising a display member driven by a first kinematic chain and a sub-dial mounted to rotate independently with respect to the display member, said sub-dial being connected by a second kinematic chain.
[0011] These techniques are however not fully satisfactory. Indeed, in all known cases, the aesthetic rendering is not optimal, and incompatible with the aesthetic quality requirements in progress for needle watches: high-end quartz watches, automatic and luxury watches.
[0012] In addition, the technology involving the use of liquid crystals is inapplicable to watches with a traditional movement. The technique implemented in watches with an interchangeable removable dial requires the user to perform a particular manipulation in order to change the dial. With this type of technology, the perceived quality is also greatly degraded. The sub-dial technology is thus complex, increases the thickness of the dial and results in a rough aesthetic rendering.
[0013] There is therefore a need for a watch or clock system comprising a dial with indexes the aesthetic appearance of which is capable of changing, automatically or manually, with a visually pleasing rendering and maximum perceived quality.
To this end, the present invention consists of a system for a timepiece giving the time and having a dial capable of changing aesthetic appearance several times, automatically or on demand.
Thus, the present invention aims to provide a system for a mechanical timepiece cooperating with a dial, allowing said dial to present at least four different aesthetic aspects. For this, the main indexes of the dial, such as the hour indications corresponding to 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock are formed of substantially cubic pivoting elements, each side of which is parallel to the axis of the pivot represents one of said main indexes, with a different aesthetic. These pivoting main indexes are in particular able to pivot by quarter turn, automatically every 24 hours or manually, by action on a push button or rotating button, in a manner similar to a date setting on a conventional watch case.
[0016] Thus, for example, on Monday, the main indexes of the watch face represent the 12 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours and 9 hours in Roman numerals, Tuesday in Arabic numerals, Wednesday in stick indexes, Thursday for example in diamond figures, etc.
GENERAL PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION
More specifically, the present invention relates to a system for a timepiece comprising:<tb> <SEP> - a clockwork movement comprising means for driving a drive wheel located in the plane of the clockwork movement, said clockwork movement being mounted on a plate and rotating around it 'an axis of rotation orthogonal to the plane of the clockwork movement and to the plane of the plate,<tb> <SEP> - a clock face surmounting the clockwork movement and located in a plane parallel to the plane of the clockwork movement.
The system for a timepiece according to the invention is remarkable in that it comprises at least one moving part of rectangular parallelepiped shape and a pinion integral with said at least one moving part of rectangular parallelepiped shape, arranged in such a manner. so that said drive wheel is able to engage said pinion and to drive said at least one substantially cubic movable part in rotation, mounted to pivot about a pivot with an axis parallel to the plane of the drive wheel and orthogonal to the axis rotation, in that the four faces of said at least one movable part of rectangular parallelepiped shape parallel to the axis of the pivot comprise, on their outer surface, a pattern corresponding to an index of the clock face, in that said at least one moving part of rectangular parallelepiped shape, said clock face, said drive wheel and said clock movement are configured such that:<tb> <SEP> - the pattern of an upper face of said at least one moving part of cubic rectangular parallelepiped shape is visible through the clock dial by means of a corresponding rectangular passageway arranged in said clock face, the dimensions of said through passage corresponding to those of said upper face, and<tb> <SEP> - said upper face is flush with the surface of the clock face, and in that it comprises means for causing the rotation of said at least one movable part of rectangular parallelepiped shape, said means comprising a wheel spring date stamp, driven in rotation by the clockwork movement, said date wheel meshing with the drive wheel, and said date wheel being able to be set in motion so as to cause the rotation of a quarter turn of said at least one moving part of rectangular parallelepiped shape, automatically every day at midnight, when the date changes, or by the action of a user on a rotating button acting on the clockwork movement.
[0019] The upper faces of the moving parts therefore change, in particular automatically every day at midnight, when the date changes, so as to cause, in symbiosis with the dial, an aesthetic change of the watch.
Advantageously, the clockwork movement and the drive wheel are thus configured to cause the automatic rotation of said at least one movable part of rectangular parallelepiped shape by a quarter of a turn every 24 hours.
Advantageously, the system for a timepiece according to the invention also or alternatively comprises means for manually causing the rotation of said at least one movable part of rectangular parallelepiped shape.
[0022] It should also be noted that the spring-loaded date wheel has the advantage of being powerful enough to drive the mobile part (s) in rotation (s) of rectangular parallelepiped shape.
[0023] According to a preferred embodiment, the plate comprises at least one recess formed in its upper surface, on the side intended to be located opposite the lower face of the dial, so that said at least a corresponding recess and facilitates the rotation of said at least one movable part of rectangular parallelepiped shape, said rotation taking place partially in the volume of said at least one recess.
According to a preferred embodiment, the system for a timepiece according to the invention comprises a plurality of moving parts of rectangular parallelepiped shape and a plurality of corresponding through passages provided in the dial and a plurality of corresponding recesses arranged in the plate.
According to one embodiment, the system for a timepiece according to the invention comprises four moving parts of rectangular parallelepiped shape corresponding to main indexes displaying the hours 3, 6, 9 and 12, each moving part of parallelepiped shape rectangle having four faces parallel to its pivot axis, each face having a different pattern corresponding to the main index concerned.
According to a preferred embodiment, the drive wheel and at least one pinion of said at least one movable part of rectangular parallelepiped shape have bevel gear teeth.
[0027] The meshing is thus more efficient.
[0028] According to a preferred embodiment, the dial comprises horizontal and / or vertical stripes on its upper surface, at least part of said stripes being configured so as to be aligned with the edges of said substantially rectangular through passages.
[0029] In this way, an optical effect is obtained, making it possible to substantially mask the presence of said substantially rectangular through passages.
[0030] The invention also relates to a watch comprising a system for a timepiece as briefly described above.

The invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows, given only by way of example, and referring to the accompanying drawings in which:<tb> <SEP> - Figure 1 shows elements of the system for a timepiece according to the invention, including the mobile indexes of rectangular parallelepiped shape and the drive wheel;<tb> <SEP> - Figure 2 shows a close-up view of a movable index of rectangular parallelepiped shape driven in rotation by the drive wheel;<tb> <SEP> - Figure 3 shows the dial of a system for a timepiece according to the invention;<tb> <SEP> - Figure 4 shows the plate and part of the timepiece movement of a system for part, timepiece according to the invention.
It should be noted that the figures show the invention and can of course also serve to better define the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention is presented mainly with a view to implementing the system for a timepiece according to the invention to a classic watch with hands, automatic or quartz movement. However, such a system for a timepiece implemented in any type of horological module - watches and clocks - mechanical, electromechanical, quartz, electroluminescent diodes, digital, etc. is also covered by the present invention.
Referring to Figure 1, the system for a timepiece according to the invention comprises a conventional timepiece movement, not shown as such, that is to say a basic timepiece movement , mounted on a plate and in rotation around the clockwork axis X. The clockwork movement allows the rotation of a drive wheel device 5, capable of engaging at least one movable part substantially of parallelepiped shape rectangle 1, 2, 3, 4. According to a preferred embodiment, the drive wheel 5 engages four parts substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape corresponding to movable indexes 1, 2, 3, 4, substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape.
These moving parts substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape, in this case these movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape are each able to rotate in rotation about a respective pivot Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, forming a central axis of each of said movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4.
The indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 thus rotate about their respective longitudinal axis Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, each of said axes being parallel to the plane of the clockwork movement.
[0037] According to one embodiment, all of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 are adapted to turn automatically by quarter-turn, simultaneously, every 24 hours.
[0038] Alternatively, or in parallel, the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 can be adapted to be turned manually using a control of the rotary button type, such as a rotary knob of date change, connected with the clockwork movement and means adapted to the drive wheel 5, so as to simultaneously rotate said movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4. This operation will be described more precisely below.
According to the invention, for each moving part substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, the four faces parallel to the axis of the corresponding pivot, Y1, Y2, 3, Y4, namely in particular, in Figure 1, the faces 11 and 12 for index 1, 21 and 22 for index 2, etc., each have a pattern, respectively, in particular, A1 and A2 for index 1, A2 and B2 for index 2, etc., corresponding to information or a purely aesthetic representation.
Thus, when viewed axially face up, the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 may have four faces of different aesthetics. The system for a timepiece according to the invention comprises suitable means allowing said movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 to rotate, typically by quarter turn, every 24 hours, so that the aesthetic appearance of said indexes, corresponding to their top face, changes regularly.
To this end, said movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepipedal shape are kinematically driven by the drive wheel 5, said drive wheel 5 comprising elements with radial or conical teeth 51 cooperating with elements with radial or conical teeth corresponding 52 provided on a pinion 50 integral with each movable part substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4.
The timepiece system according to the invention thus comprises at least one movable part substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, or at least one movable index substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape and preferably at least four mobile indexes substantially in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped 1, 2, 3, 4 capable of rotating by quarter turn, respectively around a pivot Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4 forming a longitudinal axis of each mobile index, said longitudinal axes being parallel to the plane of the clockwork movement of the watch or clock considered.
As shown in Figure 2, the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, movable in rotation about their longitudinal axis Y1, are rotated by the drive wheel 5, able to mesh said movable index substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1 by means of radial or, preferably, conical teeth 51, 52.
Among all the faces of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, all of the faces parallel to the axis of the pivot Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, namely the faces 11 , 12, 21, 22, 31, 34, 41, 44 visible in Figure 1, display patterns A1, B1, A2, B3, A3, D3, A4, D4 or symbols typically corresponding to the main indices showing the hours at four cardinal points on the face of the watch or clock, namely the '3', the '6', the '9' and the '12'.
[0045] Preferably, these patterns therefore represent the main indexes of the dial of the watch or of the clock according to different aesthetics. For example, one face of a mobile index has a number, corresponding to a main index of the dial, in Arabic numeral B1, B2, another face has the same numeral in Roman numeral A1, A2, A3, A4 another face has another symbolic representation D3, D4, etc.
In addition, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 each rest, on one side, integrally on a pinion 50 with teeth corresponding to the teeth of the drive wheel 5, with radial or, preferably, conical teeth, so as to be able to be meshed and driven in rotation by said drive wheel 5. On the other side, said movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 are based on a suitable frame. According to one embodiment, the frame is perforated and stoned, for example with rubies.
Thus, according to one embodiment, the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 are drilled in the center, along their respective longitudinal axis Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, parallel to the plane of the wheel drive 5. A rod is housed in this drilled hole and ends on one side on the pinion 50, of which it is integral, said pinion 50 being meshed by the drive wheel 5, the rod resting, on the other side, on the frame, freely in rotation along the axis of the corresponding pivot Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4.
FIG. 3 represents the dial 60 of a watch or of a clock comprising a system for a timepiece according to the invention. The dial 60 is intended to be positioned above the clockwork movement of the watch or the corresponding clock, and above the drive wheel 5 and movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4.
According to the invention, the dial 60 is perforated. Thus, through passages 61, 62, 63, 64 are provided to allow the visibility of the moving parts substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 located below, more precisely of their upper face 11, 21, 31, 41
[0050] Thus, in the embodiment shown in the figures, in which the system for a timepiece according to the invention comprises four parts substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape movable in rotation, corresponding to four main indexes of the part of horology - watch, clock - considered, the dial 60 is perforated in four areas facing said parts substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4.
The dimensions of each through passage 61, 62, 63, 64 correspond to the rectangular parallelepiped shape dimensions of the faces of the movable indexes substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, so that the pattern A1, A2 , A3, A4 shown on the upper face of each movable index is visible from above through said through passage.
In addition, according to a preferred embodiment, the edges of the through passages 61, 62, 63, 64 and / or the edges of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape corresponding to the faces intended to be visible, are bevelled or are machined so as to allow fluid rotation of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape.
The dimensions of the through passages 61, 62, 63, 64 and that of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, as well as the bevelling, polishing or other finishing machining of the edges of said through passages and Relevant edges of said movable indexes 1, 2, 3, 4 are above all configured such that the top face, 11, 21, 31, 41 in FIG. 1, of each movable index substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape is flush with the surface of the Dial 60. In other words, the parts substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape pivoting and the perforated dial are configured and dimensioned in such a way that their upper face, 11, 21, 31, 41 in FIG. 1, are strictly coplanar with the dial. 60.
Thus, when the watch or the clock is fully assembled and that it is viewed from the front, the system for a timepiece according to the invention is configured so that it is impossible or at least difficult to distinguish the presence of a space between the dial 60 and each upper face of the mobile indexes of substantially cubic shape 1, 2, 3, 4.
[0055] FIG. 4 shows a very simplified schematic representation of the clockwork movement of the system for a timepiece according to the invention.
The movement rotates around the vertical axis X. The drive wheel 5 can be rotated automatically in order to operate a quarter turn every 24 hours with the movable indexes of substantially cubic shape 1, 2, 3, 4.
Alternatively, this embodiment being compatible with the previous one, the drive wheel 5 can be turned manually by pressing the button 7.
In both cases, according to one embodiment, the setting in rotational movement applied to the drive wheel 5, and intended to allow the tilting around their respective pivot of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, is ensured by means of the date wheel 8, the power of which is adapted to ensure the pivoting of said movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape. The drive wheel 5, with radial or, preferably, conical teeth, is thus driven, according to a preferred embodiment, by the date wheel 8, with a powerful spring, capable of rotating all of the mobile indexes substantially. of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4. The tilting of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 is triggered automatically every 24 hours, that is to say every day at midnight, when the date is changed, and / or manually via an action on the date wheel 8.
Figure 4 also shows that the plate 70 of the mechanical movement is preferably hollowed out, to facilitate or allow the rotation of the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4. Thus, according to the embodiment shown, the plate 70 comprises recesses 71, 72, 73, 74 intended to correspond to the movable indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape. In this case, the recesses 71, 72, 73, 74 are therefore located at the four cardinal points, to allow the mobile indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4 to perform their rotations taking advantage of the freed volume. by said recesses, which makes it possible to save on the thickness of the case of the watch or of the clock comprising the system.
[0060] According to one embodiment, moreover, the dial 60 is striated, in particular at the height of each through passage of substantially rectangular shape, so as to create an optical effect intended to conceal said through passages 61, 62, 63, 64. According to one embodiment, the dial 60 thus comprises horizontal and vertical ridges, regularly distributed or not on the surface of the dial 60, and arranged so that a part of said ridges correspond to the edges of the through passages. substantially rectangular 61, 62, 63, 64.
In addition, according to an unclaimed embodiment, the hands of the watch or of the clock comprising the system for a timepiece according to the invention may have a particular shape adapted to come to match the mobile indexes substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, even when the latter are rotating.
Conventionally, the watch or the clock implementing the invention also comprises a case on which is fixed, by suitable means, a protective glass (not shown). According to an unclaimed embodiment, said protective glass, positioned above the dial 60, also comprises recesses on its inner face, in correspondence of each movable index substantially of rectangular parallelepiped shape 1, 2, 3, 4, of so as to facilitate the rotation of said movable indexes, while optimizing, that is to say minimizing, the thickness of the protective glass and therefore, ultimately, of the watch case.
In summary, the system for a timepiece according to the invention allows the implementation of a watch or a clock whose dial changes appearance, by means of pivoting mobile indexes, d 'axes parallel to the plane of movement, flush with the surface of said dial. This aesthetic change can be automatic or manual, and does not require interchangeable dials, electronics or liquid crystals. In addition, for an optimal aesthetic rendering, provision is made for the visible faces of said movable indexes to be exactly flush with the surface of the dial, and not to be located under the latter.
It is further specified that the present invention is not limited to the examples described above and is susceptible of numerous variants accessible to those skilled in the art.
